PROJECT SYNOPSIS
Written and directed by Sandeep A. Verma, Ishqyapa (previously known as Us & Them) is a web series that follows the journey of Vikram, a young engineer from Punjab who moves to Lunglei, Mizoram, for work. Armed with preconceived notions about Northeast India, his world is turned upside down when he meets Pui, a free-spirited musician from Mizoram, and falls in love with her. The series explores their relationship as they navigate cultural differences and fight for their love despite the challenges they face.

MY ROLE
I joined the project as the DA to Sandeep A. Verma during the scripting phase and was involved throughout the entire process—from writing and casting to pre-production and shooting, continuing through to the beginning of post-production. This experience gave me an in-depth understanding of the end-to-end filmmaking process and narrative building, allowing me to see firsthand how each element contributes to the overall story.
